Industrial, breakbeats, drum and bass, trance, house... Those are just some of the genres of electronic music Scott has touched in his 7 years of production. It began at the age of 13, when he discovered a program for PC called fastracker2. He knew he was hooked after that. Soon after Scott discovered the program Buzz, which is totally amazing, in case you didn't know.  He was an early adopter of this software and has been using it from 1998 until the present day.

The next year he began using the name ScottyP and started releasing his music on MP3.com. A year later he discovered the rave scene in Montreal and began to take an interest in trance music. He was featured on a compilation of underground material entitled "Montreal electronic music" in 2000. Finding the trance genre too limiting, ScottyP began exploring other styles of electronic music including breaks and drum n bass. Over the years he has had songs in the top-10 on mp3.com in at least 5 different genres, and over 10,000 individual plays.

In 2001 ScottyP began producing house under the pseudonym Fm_man. Deeply influenced by progressive house, Pink Floyd, Reggae Dub, East Indian music, New Wave,  and German dub techno groups such as Thinner, Fm_Man is a project with a new, unique sound which is difficult to compare to anything. Scott has always had a firm belief in producing music that is enjoyable to listen to anywhere, not just at clubs, and is generally not one to follow trends, so forget everything you know about house music before listening...
