ScottyP

The head writer, editor, webmaster, everythingmaster of Geardos. Scott is a young 20 something from Montreal who has been obsessed with music and sound since he was 10 years old. He is a supporter of the DIY (do it yourself) ethic and believes artists should always have full control of the work they do. He also has a strong belief in the independent media movement, such as podcasting, as it gives everyone a chance to speak their mind to a wide audience. When not working on this site Scott enjoys creating electronic music, doing nerdy computer stuff, reading everything he can get his hands on, playing the keyboard, and creating video art.

Alexis Vanier

Alexis Vanier is a young cinematographer with some musical background. He started very early in life with piano lessons, then went over to jazz for five years and finally ended up appearing sporadically in duo or trio multimedia performances in Montreal’s industrial electro underground scene. His experience involves a lot of computer manipulation, some experience as a keyboardist and spans across many fields of expertise outside music, such as photography, cinematography and videography. These mixed fields of experience offer him different perspectives both as a multimedia experimental creator and to broadcast standards and hardware.

Some of his work as a photographer can viewed on his DeviantArt account and some of his films on les Films Koniques, his personal web site.

thanx so much for the in depth review of the Zoom h-4 ive been looking for something like this for a long time and the review convinced me it is worth the money. I went to school near burlington vermont and made it to Montreal five times, love the city and the diverse music scene there (love the hockey bars also, but it was dangerous for us Bruins lovin yankees!). This is a very cool site you have, I am starting an internet radio station with the hopes of going FM broadcast with my current college and would like some feedback from anyone out there. feel free to contact my e-mail
    thanx, leomatty
